The doctor will have to either decline the patient and get no money, or take the risk that the person won’t pay. Even people with good credit may get behind on payments or quit paying all together. Then the doctor won’t even get the full amount, and have to settle for even less when they said the bill to collections for them to handle it. If you pay in cash up front, they know they are getting the full amount, and will therefore probably give you a nice discount. If they don’t, always try another doctor.

Another great idea to save even more money is to go and check out your local plastic surgery school. These doctors-to-be need people to practice different procedures on, and the school will charge you much less than you would have to pay at a regular plastic surgery clinic. But, even though they are being supervised by the real plastic surgeons, there are risks involved and that is the tradeoff for price.
